This farm is still used as a dwelling in 2002.  In the mid 1990s was transformed.

When the church closed, living relatives flocked to say final goodbyes.  Hilbrand Rozema remembers dreaming away under the high ceiling and iron beams holding the building together.  His mother told him how she remembered the wooden stoves with coalfire burning to keep the elderly ladies warm. 

According to Hilbrand Rozema, Hindrik Kruizinga participated in the building plans and construction of the small beloved (and much-remembered) 'poor man's one-stone-walls red-brick church' in the village of Overschild (re-baptized in the carnival season as "Overschot" meaning 'leftover').  Hindrik's son Ido (Hilbrand's grandfather) also spent many years of his life on the church council.

The church closed in 2004.  It is now a storeroom/garage.
